“Object Urbanism” is a part of the “Petropolis” mini lecture series at Cornell University organized by Visiting Professor Neeraj Bhatia. Mason White, Luis Callejas and Martin Hättasch presented three distinct positions on Urbanism. “Object Urbanism” presented a manifesto for a contemporary reconsideration of the project of the “New Monumentality” originally introduced by J.-L. Sert and S.Giedion. Martin presented what he coins the “Complex-Object” as a way of thinking urban relationships and framework for collective interaction on the architectural scale of the object.
