“This year’s publication features the work of Teddy Cruz, a critical thinker, artist, and designer whose work on the Tijuana San Diego border has served as paradigm and laboratory for explorations of new relations between architecture, urbanism, and politics. An exhibition themed around his theorem “Conflict as an Operational Tool” was constructed as a result of a close collaboration and dialogue with Teddy Cruz. This publication aims to foreground both the results of the research and dialogues as well as the students work in the design process of the exhibition itself. In addition, and article by Teddy Cruz amplifies some of the major issues and themes of the publication.”
